The Incredible Years Program at BTEC
Introducing the first-ever Arabic Group Incredible Years program in the United States. Building upon 35 years of proven success serving English and Spanish-speaking families, this evidence-based program now empowers Arabic-speaking parents in the Denver metro area. Funded by Invest in Kids CO, Blossoming Trees facilitators bring you essential skills and strategies to foster strong, positive parent-child relationships, leading to healthier, happier, and more academically successful children.

Registration Information
Registration is open two times per year. We open the fall Registration in late August and the program starts around the 3rd week of August. The winter program registration begins around mid December and the program sessions begin the 3rd week of Jan and run until May. To register for our upcoming Incredible years Program click here
This year, our sessions begin on the 20th of Aug for the English speaking participants at Crescent View Academy (CVA) in Aurora
August 21st for the Boulder location at the Islamic Center of Boulder
Aug 22nd for the Arabic speaking participants at CVA in Aurora.

English or Arabic: Wednesdays, 10 AM -12:30 PM , Islamic Center of Boulder (5495 Baseline Rd, Boulder, CO 80303)
We are currently offering two sessions at Crescent View Academy in Aurora. An English session for English speaking Muslim Families will be held on Tuesdays from 4:45-7:15 PM. An Arabic Session for Arabic Speaking families will be held on Thursdays from 4:45-7:15 Pm
We are also recruiting for an English or Arabic session for the English Speaking Muslim Community in Boulder area. The English or Arabic session will be held at the Islamic Center of Boulder, on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM -12:30 PM.
Session Details
Cost: Free to participants (funded by Invest in Kids CO)
Program runs for 16 weeks (major holidays off)
Each session runs for 2.5 hrs. Two hrs for content and .5 hr for meal and community building
A qualified childcare provider is available during each session. (ages 1.5-12)
A light meal is provided with each session
A chance to win a gift card during every session
1 yr Free admission to the Children's Museum Denver.
A completion or attendance award is provided on the last session for each participant
The Incredible Years
Goals of the Incredible Years Basic Parenting Program for the Arabic Speaking and Muslim Community in Colorado
1. Enhancing Parenting Skills: Provide parents with practical strategies and techniques to effectively manage challenging behaviors, promote positive discipline, and strengthen communication with their children.
2. Improving Parent-Child Relationships: Foster warm, nurturing relationships between parents and their children by promoting positive interactions, empathy, and understanding.
3. Supporting Child Development: Equip parents with the knowledge and tools to support their children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, laying the foundation for lifelong success.
4. Reducing Behavior Problems: Help parents identify and address behavior problems in their children through positive reinforcement, consistent discipline, and proactive parenting strategies.
The Incredible Years Basic Parenting Program is an evidence-based, group-based intervention designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills needed to foster positive parent-child relationships, manage behavior challenges, and promote social and emotional development in children. The program draws on principles of social learning theory and cognitive-behavioral techniques to empower parents in nurturing their children's growth and well-being.
5. Building Supportive Communities: Create a supportive network of parents who can share experiences, offer mutual support, and learn from one another in a nonjudgmental and inclusive environment.
6. Promoting Positive Parenting Practices: Encourage parents to adopt positive parenting practices that prioritize empathy, respect, and responsiveness to their children's needs.
7. Increasing Family Resilience: Strengthen family resilience by empowering parents with the skills and confidence to navigate challenges, manage stress, and promote family cohesion.
8. Preventing Child Maltreatment: Provide parents with knowledge and resources to prevent child maltreatment and promote safe, nurturing environments for children to thrive.
